Our beautiful Oli had her birthday party today, surrounded by wonderful friends and family at Hayrack Church Farm in Cheshire.

This lovely little space packs a lot in - a small soft-play, two outdoor play areas, spacious cafe, and animal farm filled with all sorts of animals from pigs to parrots!

As part of the party, the children enjoyed making bird feeders - decorating cardboard hearts before covering them in peanut butter and seeds, and then spending time burning off their energy across the three play spaces.

The main draw, though, is the animals! The children were given a range of different animal feeds and loved hand-feeding donkeys, goats, pigs, and chickens. Then they had supervised time meeting and petting tortoises, snakes, ferrets, and an enthusiastic baby goat, under the expert eyes of the keepers.

The party food was plentiful, for the little ones to recharge their batteries in time for ice cream and cake, and we brought a piñata which went down very well! The staff were attentive and friendly, and everyone had a lovely time. I don't know about the kids but I'm definitely shattered now!

For general visits, Hayrack Church Farm Park & Cafe is open seven days a week in Thornton-le-Moors. Adults and children pay the same - £6 per visit - though babies under 1 year old are free. The food and coffee in the cafe is varied and not as expensive as many places like this, and there's an under-5's indoor soft play and a little toddler sandpit outside too.

Thank you for making our Bug's birthday a wonderful one!
